Hello

My work is completely influenced by my life experiences. The same way I want you to view said pieces. There is a deep underlining message I want to portray, yet my works narrative is for you as a viewer to grow your own personal connection with. Thus resulting in a stronger personal bond for you to take home. The work is left quite minimalistic to encourage imagination and spark thoughts and emotion, this is alongside the overload in contrasting colours can be interpreted in any way you choose. Think about what the colours and subject matter means to you as a person and create a bond with the characters I've created.

My Story

I've been working on my art for many years. I've been selling since I was around 13 years old to friends and family and I believe this is what originally sparked my drive.

I am a contemporary Scottish artist whose work explores themes of mental health, personal interpretation, and emotional expression through vibrant, abstract compositions.

Artistic Background and Education

Born in Glasgow, I began my artistic journey at the Tramway Visual Arts Studio, a space that fostered my early exploration of various mediums. i pursued formal education in fine art and design, completing a HNC qualification at Glasgow College.

I further honed my craft at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at the University of Dundee, where i developed a distinctive style characterised by bold colours and emotive themes.

Notable Exhibitions and Recognition

My Exhibition "Unveiled Perception: Art Through Your Eyes"

was showcased at South Block in Glasgow from November 2024 through December 2024.

This exhibition emphasized personal interpretation, with artworks intentionally left untitled to encourage viewers to derive their own meanings. the viewers were invited to ask questions, only after forming their own impressions.

In 2022, i gained notable recognition when comedian Harry Hill purchased one of my paintings, highlighting the growing appreciation for my work.

I also featured in two different news papers about my exhibition. one local news paper (front page) and one national news paper (page 3/4) of the scotsman.

Artistic Themes and Philosophy

My art serves as a medium for exploring and managing emotions, particularly concerning mental health. my work often reflects the struggles of working individuals and those facing mental health challenges, aiming to shed light on these experiences through visual expression.
